The Ellipse Rug Collection was created in collaboration with Armadillo and guided by House of Grey’s symbiotic principle of using natural materials that are good for human health throughout their use and actively feed the earth upon disposal. At House of Grey, we call this: Circular Salutogenic Design.

The House of Grey x Armadillo Ellipse rug collection creates a sensory experience that draws us back to nature. Designed with the moon as its muse, we pay homage to its quiet beauty and multitude of textures on its surface.

From raw jute, to wools, to the luxurious silk & wool mix, each ethically sourced natural material is Declare* labelled and has been selected for its individual properties to create a distinct sensory experience underfoot.

Working with the positive human connection to natural materials, these rugs become more than an object to walk on but one to be used for the foundation of your daily life, meditation practice, and personal reflection time. The Palus rug is best experienced barefoot, the irregular nobbles and knots in the yarn provide a smooth texture, cushioning the sole. The absorption of unwanted sounds from within the space creates a reassuring sense of aural calm.

The Umbra Afghan wool rug is 100% natural, durable, and is designed to fit comfortably in any room. The natural Afghan wool provides a depth of colour and space, as organic changes in the wool occur.
