Private Clients

As a design studio, our fundamental aim has become the need to leave a positive design legacy when renovating and restoring modern and historic spaces. Each material and resource we specify is researched so we can understand its impact on human and ecological health when in production, in use, and once it has been discarded.

‘I focused on a sense of light and space, as well as the idea that every day could have holiday moments,’ she says. ‘I hear so many stressed people talking about wanting to escape their lives. To me, it’s important to create a home that matches your needs so well you don’t want to leave.’

At House of Grey’s Home of Holism, non-toxic, natural resources harvested directly from the earth ground us in nature for a calmer environment, improving concentration and providing stress reduction.

REDESIGNED TO RESTORE YOU

At House of Grey we have taken this further, fusing our aesthetic and philosophy with Salutogenic principles to design a home-retreat for our clients who wish to actively invest in pursuing health and contentment.

Salutogenic design’s simple aim is to build structures that make people healthier, a principle that originated in the construction of many of the world’s leading modern hospitals.

“In positive surroundings we can truly live in the moment, bringing us into a state of contentment which supports our personal evolution, helping us to become a person who is wanting and needing less. This is not an innovation, this is the innate way of living and the future of modern living – where we elevate ourselves to a state of health and happiness.”

Positive Interactions

When thinking through how people will interact with a space daily, every aspect of the design needs to be considered both in detail and as a whole, we combine products, solutions and materials to turn a personal vision into a reality.
